Thirty Years of Successful Tuition
This year, Castleknock tuition celebrates its thirtieth anniversary. Founded in 1981, the school has provided tuition for students preparing for Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate examinations for three decades. From our first year, we have offered small classes run by experienced teachers. Thirty years on we still believe that that is the best recipe for success.
Our emphasis is on preparing students for the state examinations. In addition to covering the syllabus, an emphasis is placed on the study of questions from past papers and familiarity with marking schemes. While the vast majority of our students are in second level education, repeat or mature students are welcome. Classes are delivered over two terms: the first 12 week term from September to December 2011 and the second 14 week term from January to May 2012.
We have two tuition centres, located in Blanchardstown and Castleknock. We draw our student body from a wide catchment area including Castleknock, Blanchardstown, Lucan, Cabra, Chapelizod, Clonee, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin and other outlying areas in West Dublin, Meath and Kildare.
Tuition is offered on Saturday mornings in St Brigid's Community Centre and nearby Scoil Bhrid beside the Roman Catholic church in Blanchardstown village. On weekdays, evening tuition is at the Church of Ireland Parish Centre and adjacent Castleknock National School.
